Pentacost Parade

Want to “be the church” and encourage those who are especially vulnerable to contract COVID-19 and, thus, have been staying at home for a couple of months? Want to uplift those who have been at home longer due to illness, surgery, or mobility issues? If so, we invite you to be part of “passing the peace” with First United Methodist Church on Sunday, May 31.

We will be lining up in the Poplar Street parking lot beginning at 12:30. We want to leave by 1 PM. We expect to be finished by 2 PM. Each parade of cars will probably be comprised of 5-6 cars/trucks and you’ll pass by 5-6 places.

We encourage you to decorate your cars, make signs that communicate love for your neighbors, and honk your horns in the parade. If you plan to participate, we need to know so we can plan, be organized, and prepare.

Please call the church office at 642- 4764 to let us know. COVID-19 can bring out the best in all of us. It’s going to be a fun day!! Hope to see you there.
