Troop 28 (Boys)

Scouts BSA Troop 28 is one of the oldest and largest troops in the West Tennessee Area Council.  Paris First United Methodist Church has sponsored the troop for more than 70 years.  The troop meets on Mondays at 6:00 pm in the Christian Life Center of the church.  Members plan weekend camping trips almost every month which include a variety of activities, including backpacking, kayaking, hiking, service work, cooking, and enjoying the great outdoors.  The troop also attends a week-long camp each summer which gives the scouts the opportunity to spend almost a month each year camping.

Troop 3 (Girls)

Troop 3 was founded in July of 2019 as the third female Troop in Scouts BSA in the West Tennessee Area Council. Girls have been in BSA for almost 40 years in Venture Crews and Explorer Posts. In 2019 the girls were welcomed into the Scouts BSA Program. They can work and earn everything a young man can earn including the rank of Eagle Scout. In December we had the first female, Anna Evans, to earn her Eagle Scout Rank. She was also the first female in the West Tennessee Area Council to have earned the rank of Eagle.

Troop 3 meets on Sunday afternoons from 2:30-4:00 except on camping weekends and holidays. We attend summer camp during the month of June.
