Weather permitting any of our Church family who would like to join in an outdoor in-person worship service are invited to bring a lawn chair or a blanket and find a spot on the front lawn at 8:30 THIS SUNDAY, JUNE 14. It's BYOB. (Bring your own bulletin!) Since we're outside and will  be observing safe distancing, masks will be optional.  Our service will still be broadcast Live on Facebook at 11:00.

Pentacost Parade

Want to "be the church" and encourage those who are especially vulnerable to contract COVID-19 and, thus, have been staying at home for a couple of months? Want to uplift those who have been at home longer due to illness, surgery, or mobility issues? If so, we invite you to be part of "passing the peace" with First United Methodist Church on Sunday, May 31. We will be lining up in the Poplar Street parking lot beginning at 12:30. We want to leave by 1 PM. We expect to be finished by 2 PM. Each parade of cars will probably be comprised of 5-6 cars/trucks and you'll pass by 5-6 places. We encourage you to decorate your cars, make signs that communicate love for your neighbors, and honk your horns…

Update as of 6/5: We will not gather for worship at the Church until June 21. Please join us on Facebook for our live streaming service each Sunday at 11:00 am. Posted 6/5: PARIS FIRST UMC HOPES TO RE-GATHER FOR IN-PERSON WORSHIP ON JUNE 21st Even as we look forward to soon being able to return to in-person worship, we will continue broadcasting our worship Live on Facebook, as well as on delayed broadcast on our local cable and radio stations. Anyone who has a health condition that places them in a high-risk category, is encouraged to continue worshipping with us from the safety of their homes.
